The addled love-child of two Woodstocking Gastropods, Circuitous Psnail is one precocious mollusk! While slugging through Marin county at an impressionable age, Psnail stumbled into a fungal jungle and went off the map. Besides an obviously fragile psyche, Psnail's lubricating mucus-trail has an other-worldly hue, complete with potent psychoactive properties. Psnail was hand-selected by Dr. Dayglow for treatment and observation at The Facility.

We’re not from England, but our blog designers, The Neon Hive, are. Does that gives us permission to use the expression “dead chuffed” to describe our feelings toward some of our favorite blogs and their warm reception to Psnail? Probably not, but we are feeling global warming straight through to our slime from all the love-coverage via SpankyStokes (U.S.), TOYSREVIL (Singapore) and Collect3d (Canada). Thanks!!!
Neon Monster is honored to host 4 psychedelic stowaways from the magical land of the Pacific Northwest. The Seeker1, Patty Power, Sammy and The Seeker2 are all unique and stunning original resin figures by Arbito. They’re currently available in the Cave of Wonders pop-up shop at the F Factory for $175 each. Hit the jump for closeups.
Whoa…to be rendered in resin…an amazing feeling. Neon Monster’s first resin art multiple debuted at Art Basel, and we’re already hoping the snail trail leads to more. The Circuitous Psnail is based on art by the amazing Reuben Rude and fabricated by fantastic LA-based powerhouse, Pretty in Plastic. The liquid-like translucent resin really lights up as you can see from the photos below (after the jump). We’ve got 5 different colors in an edition of 10 pieces each. Each figure is about 12 inches and carries a significant weight. Please inquire if interested in adopting one. The tree stump coffee table art measures 4′ in diameter by 18 inches tall and can be lit with LEDs. We have two that were sculpted, molded and cast in California at Pretty in Plastic based on designs by John Crowe. Rumor around town is that Buff Monster even lent a hand in casting a stump…
Lots to say about our exclusive items for Art Basel, but since some friends over on the Kidrobot forums have been inquiring, I’ll kick off the conversation with Dalek. All of the Neon Monsters are big fans of the superflat style, and working with Dalek on a limited edition print and T-shirt was just out of this world. Normally, I have an aversion to straight lines, but under Dalek’s vision, it just works for me. Stare at it long enough, and you might start to see some things… A T-shirt based on the print is also available. All of the shirts are printed on Alternative Apparel using eco-friendly, water-based inks. More details on all the prints and shirts to follow. They are available right now at our Cave of Wonders in the F Factory as part of Design Miami and Art Basel. A portion of all of the exclusives will be allotted to our online shop soon!

Neon Monster was invited to participate in a curated cross-pollination of culture and commerce at this year’s Design Miami. The historic Moore building provided us with an airy atrium (and fancy neighbors) in which to construct our Cave of Wonders. When you emerge onto the second floor, you’ll be greeted by an effigy of Mitch. Step inside and absorb the world we’ve created: it’s one of stalagmites and stalactites, crystalline patterns, glowing tree stumps and jewel-toned snails (that’s me!). Many of our visitors have likened the limited edition experience to being in a candy store. You’ll find hand-picked art multiples by Michael Lau and Daniel Johnston, original art toys by Arbito and Buff Monster, exclusive prints and T-shirts by Dalek, Reuben Rude and Josh Cochran, and so much more. We’ll be at 191 NE 40th Street all month long, so come by and say hi!
