What’s next for the Jailbreak Collective when they’ve already worked with presidents, artists and other revolutionaries? The answer is the unlisted secret 7th reason on Wired’s list of 6 Reasons to Jailbreak Your iPhone, and it’s completely legal.

In order to bring the magic of the iPhone into the third dimension, Jailbreak produced App Magnets. Each set of 18 epoxy magnets measure 7/8″ x 7/8″ and are packaged in a large iPhone replica. I am really digging the concept of de-evolution and reverse engineering involved in using a magnetized To-Do list “app” to attach a tangible post-it note to your refrigerator.

In an economic climate where the safest thing to do would have been to ride out the wave of Obama Action Figure success with more of the same, Jailbreak is instead pursuing a new direction of Product Art. They are going to hate me for this, but I’m proud to call Jailbreak’s Jason and Alyssa (who designed the magnets) friends, so I can’t help but post this classic photo of them mugging with a giant Qee at Neon Monster’s Art Basel party.
