Reuben Rude for Ball’s Out

Reuben Rude, the San Francisco designer behind the Bestiary characters and many of the Neon Monster blog banners has a piece (”Fight All Day!”) in the Grass Hut’s Balls Out show. The event begins later this week (aka Wondercon Friday), and there are so many great artists involved. The premise is for everybody to go “ball’s out” on an 18″x18″ (and additionally for 2010, 9″x9″) panel. Previews are starting to leak out, like this one by Tim Biskup, which he’s called a “new old direction.” If I wasn’t going to be at the Moscone Center for Wondercon, I’d definitely trek up to Portland for this!
