Public Service Reminder from Mitch: Mix it Up
It’s cool to get in a groove, but don’t end up getting stuck in one. Life has lots to offer. Try a different style of music. Check out some new art. Talk to a total stranger. Mix it up.

This picture was taken at Wondercon 2010, but it goes out to all my friends in San Diego today. Keep calm and carry on. Repeat after me: It’s only a toy. It’s only a toy. It’s only a toy. If the mantra fails, go get it; it’s probably awesome
Life moves fast. If you have a nose, don’t forget to stop to smell the roses. If you don’t have a nose, maybe you have one giant eye. If so, stop to see the roses. Nature makes beautiful things: misfit monsters included.
Recently a street art-enhanced (and condoned) wall in San Francisco’s Mission district got papered over by some corporations advertising, among other things, bad Saturday Night Live spin-off films. Naturally, it had to be reclaimed. If you happen to be in the neighborhood (and you should be this evening, because David Choe’s Dirty Hands is showing at The Roxie) check out Big Mitch (he’s 8 feet tall) and an awesome piece by Zoltron at Valencia between 16th and 17th. More pics of the wall on our Flickr.

Mitch was not going to be left out of this one…He done took the Bayou to entirely new level…Go Mitch!!!! So much for holding back and not drinking during the day…Soft Shell Crab Po Boy’s, Cocktails abound and far into the night…sitting in with Anders Osborne at DBA…Mitch can sure pull his weight!!!
Mitch is becoming quite the traveler. Now that he’s returned from Egypt, Mitch wanted to take in some Jazz, so he headed to New Orleans with JeConte. What I love most about these photos (aside from the vicarious globe-trotting) is Mitch’s diverse appeal. He really breaks down the boundaries. We’ve sent Mitches to all types of people around the world.
Thanks to all who have adopted or hung out with Mitch. Don’t forget! If you have pictures of you and Mitch, add them to the Me and Mitch Flickr Photo Pool!
How cool is this? Parenting magazine chose Mitch to include in a series of the “7 Coolest Buddy Toys for Your Child“!
If your tot is going to have a constant companion, it may as well be irresistible. Upgrade her from a plain old teddy to one of these über-adorable finds.
Mitch is in the company of Puglee Uglydoll and several non-mass market toys. Nice! Even better, you can win all 7 buddies from Parenting. This contest is being run through their site (not ours), so register here for your chance to win yourself (or, um, we mean, your kid) an awesome entourage! Outside of contests, Mitch is available exclusively through the Neon Monster shop. Remember, Mitch is made of eco-friendly materials and is certified safe for children. Mitch tickles the ivories. What’s he up to? Photo by our friend, Asher Fulero.
The Bestiary tells us that Mitch measures in at 12 foot 8 inches. The shop tells us that (plush) Mitch stands tall at 14 inches. Bah, what are numbers but letters you can’t use to make words anyway? We thought it best to illustrate Mitch’s hugeness as follows. Mitch is almost as big as the adorable Atlas, son of Mars-1, who happens to be two and a half years old.
Mitch is as big as an entire bushel of apples. (I’m not sure how big a bushel is because the apples kept rolling away.) Mitch is an absolute giant, compared to his cycloptic Uglydoll friend, Wedgehead. However, Mitch loves Wedgehead dearly and would never step on or step to him.
Mitch is taller than an ancient pyramid. OK, that’s just the perspective talking. But he’s really there in Egypt. Check out his adventures. We hope this has been an educational experience.

There was no stopping him this time..Mitch was determined to discover the coast of Egypt, explore the library of Alexandria, storm the catacombs, smoke Shisha (Watermelon is his favorite) and hang hard with the locals eating as much fish as he could…He simply could not be stopped…
Look at that hookah. Who knew April 20th was an international holiday?
And so continues the Egyptian adventures (begun here) of Mitch as he travels with photographer, JeConte. For up-to-date adventures, fan the fellas here.
